Iran's first cement export terminal with an annual capacity of one million tons has been put into operation on an area of 30,000 square meters in the Imam Khomeini Port Complex. Imam Khomeini Port is one of the largest ports in the country, with about 40 percent of Iran's annual trade with other countries taking place through this port. The terminal's capabilities include 12 bunker unloading bays with a capacity of 280 tons per hour and two open truck unloading bays with a capacity of 120 tons. The terminal also has an open area for the deployment of cement receiving equipment, a covered warehouse with a storage capacity of 28,000 tons, and a cement receiving bay with a capacity of 120 cubic meters.
The parent and industrial engineering consultancy for the construction of a cement export terminal in Bandar Imam Khomeini was completed by Payaneh Ehdat Company in 2002. The project included basic engineering services, detailed engineering, coordination and senior supervision services, workshop supervision, preparation of technical documents, and management of the construction tender process for the cement export terminal located in Bandar Imam Khomeini, Khuzestan Province.
Following the completion of this project, the preparation of contract documents for the storage and loading terminal of gray cement in Bandar Imam Khomeini was assigned to ITCEN by the same client as a continuation of the consulting activities.
